Patents, Trademarks, Google Maps & Xbox Surface – MacWorks Weekly Episode 8

Apple lost a patent lawsuit for $368.2M to VirnetX for violating VPN related patents with FaceTime.  After winning that lawsuit, VirnetX turned around and immediately sued Apple for other iPhone related technologies.  Apple loses iPhone trademark in Mexico due to its similarities with the telecommunications company iFone.  Apple awarded design patent for a rounded rectangle.  Google's not optimistic that Apple will approve their Maps app. Microsoft is supposedly working on a Xbox Surface.

Amazon’s DRM Causes Reader to Lose Entire Library
