AppleCare+ covers just about everything that can happen to your iPad or iPhone for two full years including Apple’s support specialists available by phone to help answer any of your questions.
Included with your iOS device is a one year warranty and 90 days of phone support from Apple. It covers issues such as dead pixels, issues powering on the device and other manufacturer defects. It does not cover drops that break the glass.
AppleCare+ is $99 and can only be added within first 90 days of purchase. After that, it extends the original warranty an additional year but also adds a low cost swap option for nearly any kind of damage that may occur during those two years. You’ll pay $49 per swap for a smashed iPad and walk out with a brand new one. There is a 2 incident maximum for this service, but that’s hopefully all you’ll need.
With the amount of broken glass we’ve seen daily, AppleCare+ is a great option to add piece of mind that if disaster strikes, you have a great no-hassle option. Available for both the iPhone and iPad.
